Selected as One of the "Asia-Pacific Climate Leaders 2025"

Foster Electric Co., Ltd. has been selected as one of the 350 companies in the "Asia-Pacific Climate Leaders 2025" list, jointly conducted by the Financial Times (UK) and Statista (Germany).

The Asia-Pacific Climate Leaders list recognizes leading companies in the Asia-Pacific region that have made significant contributions to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. In this year's assessment, the primary evaluation criterion was the reduction rate of Scope 1 and 2 emissions (emissions from business operations and purchased electricity) per unit of revenue from 2018 to 2023. Additional factors considered were the transparency of climate-related information such as the disclosure of Scope 3 emissions (other indirect emissions across the supply chain), the reduction of absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions, and CDP scores.

In 2021, we set the long-term goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Since FY2022, we have established annual targets for each production site and promoted our CO₂ Reduction Action Program every year. Our proactive efforts have included improving energy efficiency in manufacturing processes, introducing energy-saving equipment, installing solar panels, using electricity from renewable sources, and optimizing logistics locations to reduce transportation distances. We have also built a collaborative framework to share best practices across our sites and promote internal understanding of our goals and initiatives. As a result, our reduction efforts have yielded year-on-year improvements. In FY2024, we successfully achieved our FY2025 medium-term environmental targets ahead of schedule: a 30% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions and a 3% reduction in Scope 3 emissions compared to FY2018 levels.

Moving forward, we will continue leveraging our core strengths in acoustic technology, materials development, and manufacturing to contribute to solving social issues through our products and to accelerate value creation toward a sustainable future.
